Ingredients

  • 0.5 cup bamboo skewers diced canned
  • teaspoons cornstarch 
  •  garlic clove finely chopped
  • teaspoon ginger finely chopped
  •  to 2 chilies slit green hot seeded very thin cut into slices
  • medium spring onion 
  • tablespoons sauce chinese
  • 0.5 cup peanuts 
  • medium bell pepper red cut into 3/4-inch squares
  • pound sirloin steak boneless
  • teaspoon sugar 
  • teaspoon vegetable oil 
  • tablespoons vegetable oil 
  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper white

  • frying pan
  • wok

Directions

  1. Remove fat from beef.
  2. Cut beef into 3/4-inch cubes. Toss beef, 1 teaspoon oil, the cornstarch and white pepper in medium glass or plastic bowl. Cover and refrigerate 30 minutes.
  3. Heat wok or 12-inch skillet over high heat.
  4. Add 1 tablespoon of the 2 tablespoons oil; rotate wok to coat side.
  5. Add beef; stir-fry about 2 minutes or until beef is brown.
  6. Remove beef from wok.
  7. Add remaining 1 tablespoon oil; rotate wok to coat side.
  8. Add chilies, onions, bell pepper, garlic, gingerroot, brown sauce, bamboo shoots and sugar; stir fry 1 minute.
  9. Add beef; heat through.
  10. Sprinkle with peanuts.
