This recipe yields a generous 37 servings, each with only 66 calories, making it a guilt-free addition to your meal. The gravy's base is made from a blend of low-sodium chicken broth, pan drippings from roasted turkey drumsticks, and a hint of pepper. To enrich the flavor, fresh parsley sprigs and vegetables like carrots and onions are added to the roasting pan, which are later discarded, leaving behind a fragrant and robust taste.

The process of making this gravy is simple and can be started well in advance, hence the name "Make-Ahead." First, brown the turkey drumsticks and vegetables in a large roasting pan, then transfer them to the oven to cook until the drumsticks are perfectly done. After removing the drumsticks for another use, whisk flour into the hot drippings and gradually incorporate the chicken broth. The mixture is then simmered until it reaches a thick, velvety consistency. Finally, season with salt to taste.

With its dairy-free formulation, this Make-Ahead Turkey Gravy is a versatile accompaniment that works well with a variety of dishes, from traditional turkey and mashed potatoes to vegetarian mains. Its rich flavor and smooth texture make it a must-have for your next holiday feast. So why wait? Give this recipe a try and elevate your dining experience.
