Ingredients

  • ounce mushrooms sliced canned drained
  • cup celery diced ( 3 ribs)
  • cup condensed chicken soup canned
  • large eggs slightly beaten
  • teaspoon kosher salt 
  • 3.5 cups matzo farfel 
  • medium onion minced
  • teaspoon paprika 
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper freshly ground
  • 0.3 cup vegetable oil

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 37
  2. Heat oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Saut onion and celery 11 minutes or until tender.
  3. Let cool slightly. Stir in mushrooms and matzo farfel.
  4. Mix chicken soup and next 4 ingredients in a medium bowl.
  5. Add to matzo mixture, and blend thoroughly. Stir in 2 cups hot water.
  6. Pour into a greased 11- x 7-inch baking dish, and bake at 375 for 35 to 40 minutes or until browned and set.
  7. *Substitute 1 cup sliced fresh mushrooms, if desired. Saut with onion and celery.
