Ingredients

  • 0.1 teaspoon pepper black freshly ground
  • tablespoons butter 
  • cups roasted chicken stock 
  • 1.5 tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • 1.5 tablespoons sage fresh chopped
  • 0.3 cup madeira wine dry
  • ounce pre mushrooms 
  • tablespoon olive oil 
  • 0.5 cup onion chopped
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • tablespoons water

Directions

  1. Heat oil in a nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onion to pan; saut 1 minute.
  3. Add sage, salt, and mushrooms; saut 11 minutes or until mushrooms are browned.
  4. Add wine; cook 30 seconds or until liquid almost evaporates. Stir in Roasted Chicken Stock. Boil; cook until reduced to 2 cups (about 14 minutes).
  5. Combine flour and water in a bowl, stirring until smooth.
  6. Add flour mixture to pan; return to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer 2 minutes or until slightly thickened, stirring occasionally.
  7. Remove from heat. Stir in butter, 1 tablespoon at a time, stirring until butter melts. Stir in pepper.
