  • 0.3 teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.5 teaspoon baking soda 
  • 0.5 cup firmly brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  • 0.5 cup coconut or flaked
  • cup rice cereal crisp
  • large eggs 
  • cup flour all-purpose
  • cup regular oats uncooked
  • 0.5 cup pecans chopped
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 cup sugar

Directions

  1. Beat first 3 ingredients at medium speed with an electric mixer until fluffy.
  2. Add egg, beating until blended.
  3. Add flour and next 4 ingredients, beating until blended. Stir in rice cereal, coconut, and pecans.
  4. Drop by tablespoonfuls onto lightly greased baking sheets.
  5. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes or until lightly browned; remove to wire racks to cool.
