Ingredients

  • 16 servings glaze 
  • cup firmly brown sugar light packed
  • 0.3 cup butter melted
  • 24 ounce cream cheese softened
  •  eggs 
  • 5.3 ounce evaporated milk canned
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • 1.3 cups graham cracker crumbs 
  • cup pecan halves toasted
  • 0.3 cup pecans toasted chopped
  • 0.3 cup sugar 
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla extract 

Equipment

  • hand mixer
  • springform pan

Directions

  1. Combine first 4 ingredients, mixing well. Press mixture into bottom and 1 1/2 inches up the sides of a 9-inch Springform pan.
  2. Bake at 350 for 5 minutes.
  3. Beat cream cheese at medium speed of an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Gradually add sugar, milk, and flour, mixing well.
  4. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in vanilla.
  5. Pour into prepared pan.
  6. Bake at 350 for 55 to 60 minutes.
  7. Let cool in pan 30 minutes. Loosen and remove sides of Springform pan; cool completely. Cover loosely, and refrigerate overnight.
  8. Before serving, arrange pecan halves on top of cheesecake.
  9. Serve with warm glaze.
