  • 0.3 teaspoon ground ginger 
  • 0.5 teaspoon ground nutmeg 
  • 10 inch pie pastry ) for a single-crust pie (for leaves, see notes above

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 37
  2. In a bowl, mix granulated sugar, brown sugar, flour, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt, and ginger.
  3. Add pumpkin, milk, and eggs; whisk until well blended.
  4. Pour mixture into unbaked 10-inch pie pastry in pan.
  5. Sprinkle walnut streusel evenly over filling.
  6. Bake on the bottom rack until a knife inserted in center comes out clean, 60 to 65 minutes.
  7. Set on a rack until cool to touch, about 2 hours.
  8. Cut into wedges.
