Ingredients

  • teaspoon balsamic vinegar 
  • cups bell pepper stir-fry frozen thawed (such as Bird's Eye)
  • teaspoons bottled garlic minced
  • 0.3 teaspoon fennel seeds crushed
  • 12 ounces turkey sausage sweet italian cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • 12 ounce tomatoes 
  • teaspoon olive oil 
  • 10 ounce hoagie rolls split

Directions

  1. Heat the oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat.
  2. Add sausage, and cook for 7 minutes or until lightly browned, stirring occasionally.
  3. Add garlic and fennel to pan; cook 30 seconds, stirring constantly. Stir in bell pepper stir-fry and marinara sauce, and bring to a boil. Reduce heat, and simmer 5 minutes. Stir in vinegar.
  4. Spoon 1 cup sausage mixture into each hoagie roll.
