Ingredients

  • 0.3 cup barbecue sauce 
  • 15 oz tomato sauce canned
  • tablespoon t brown sugar dark
  • 1.3 pounds pd of ground turkey 
  •  hawaiian rolls 
  • tablespoons olive oil 
  •  onion chopped
  • servings salt and pepper

Directions

  1. In a medium saucepan, warm oil over medium-high heat.
  2. Add onion and cook, stirring often, until softened, 5 minutes.
  3. Add turkey and cook, breaking up large chunks and stirring often, about 5 minutes.
  4. Pour in tomato sauce, barbecue sauce, brown sugar and 1/2 cup water. (
  5. Add extra brown sugar to sweeten sauce, if desired.) Season with salt and pepper and cook until mixture is slightly thickened, about 20 minutes.
  6. Spoon mixture over 4 toasted or warmed hamburger buns and top with fixings.
