  •  duck breast meat - skin left on wild whole skinless cut in half and
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper 
  • small cranberry-orange relish peeled cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • medium apples cut into 1/2-inch pieces
  • medium onion cut into eighths
  • ounces orange juice concentrate frozen thawed canned ()

Directions

  1. Sprinkle duck with salt and pepper.
  2. Layer duck, oranges, apple and onion in 3 1/2- to 6-quart slow cooker.
  3. Pour orange juice concentrate over top.
  4. Cover and cook on low heat setting 8 to 10 hours or until duck is tender.
  5. Remove duck from slow cooker. Discard fruit and onion mixture. Note: This recipe was tested in slow cookers with heating elements in the side and bottom of the cooker, not in cookers that stand only on a heated base. For slow cookers with just a heated base, follow the manufacturer’s directions for layering ingredients and choosing a temperature.
