  • ounce bittersweet chocolate chopped
  • 1.8 cups brown sugar packed
  • cup butter softened (2 sticks)
  • large eggs 
  • 3.8 cups flour all-purpose
  • cup milk chocolate chips 
  • teaspoon salt 
  • 12 ounce semi chocolate chips 
  • 0.8 cup sugar 
  • teaspoon vanilla extract 
  • 0.5 cup shortening

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. Lightly grease baking sheets.
  2. With an electric mixer, beat butter and shortening at medium speed until creamy; gradually add sugars, beating until fluffy.
