Ingredients

  • 0.5 tsp pepper black
  • 15 oz black beans rinsed canned
  • 14 oz canned tomatoes diced undrained canned
  • tsp basil leaves dried
  • cloves garlic minced
  •  bell pepper green chopped
  • 0.5 cup quick-cooking barley 
  • 0.5 cup sun tomato vinaigrette dressing dried kraft
  • cups water 
  •  onion yellow chopped

Directions

  1. Cook onions and garlic in dressing in large saucepan on medium heat 5 min. or until onions are tender, stirring frequently.
  2. Add all remaining ingredients except green peppers; mix well. Bring to boil; simmer on medium-low heat 15 min., stirring occasionally.
  3. Remove from heat. Stir in green peppers; cover.
  4. Let stand 5 min.
