  • teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
  • 0.8 cup cherries dried
  • large eggs 
  • 1.5 cups flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • cup semi chocolate chips melted
  • cup sugar 
  • 12 tablespoons butter unsalted at room temperature ()
  • 0.5 cup cocoa unsweetened
  • 1.5 cups chocolate chips white

Directions

  1. Center rack in oven and preheat to 350F. In a bowl, sift together flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt. Using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar on high until fluffy, about 3 minutes.
  2. Add eggs 1 at a time, mixing well after each addition; add melted chocolate. With mixer on low, gradually add dry ingredients to chocolate mixture. Stir in white chocolate and cherries.
  3. Drop heaping tablespoonfuls of dough onto an ungreased baking sheet, spacing them 2 inches apart.
  4. Bake cookies until set, 10 to 12 minutes.
  5. Let cool slightly, then transfer to a wire rack and let cool completely.
