  • ounce angel food cake toasted
  • 1.5 teaspoons cornstarch 
  • large egg yolk 
  • 0.8 cup milk 1% low-fat
  • 0.3 cup greek yogurt plain 2% reduced-fat
  • Dash salt 
  • cups strawberries halved
  • tablespoons sugar 
  • 0.3 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Combine first 5 ingredients in a small saucepan. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until sauce comes to a boil and thickens, stirring constantly with a whisk.
  2. Remove from heat; whisk in yogurt and vanilla.
  3. Pour mixture into a bowl; cool slightly.
  4. Place 1 cake slice on each of 4 plates.
  5. Serve with 1 cup fruit and about 1/4 cup sauce.
