Zucchini Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

• 0.3 cup cocoa powder 
• 0.5 teaspoon double-acting baking powder 
• 1 teaspoon baking soda 
• 0.5 cup butter softened
• 0.5 cup buttermilk 
• 0.5 cup canola oil 
• 2  eggs 
• 2.5 cups flour all-purpose
• 0.5 teaspoon ground cinnamon 
• 0.3 teaspoon ground cloves 
• 0.5 cup semi chocolate chips 
• 1.8 cups sugar 
• 1 teaspoon vanilla extract 
• 2 cups zucchini shredded peeled

Equipment

Directions

1. In a bowl, cream butter, oil and sugar. Beat in eggs and vanilla.
2. Combine dry ingredients; add to the creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk.
3. Mix well. Stir in zucchini.
4. Pour into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish.
5. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.
6. Bake at 350° for 40-45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack.
