Ingredients

  • oz baker's chocolate chopped
  • oz chocolate white chopped
  • teaspoon baking soda 
  • 0.8 cup brown sugar packed
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  •  eggs 
  • 1.8 cups flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 cup granulated sugar 
  • cup pecans chopped
  • 0.3 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.5 cup shortening 
  • 1.5 teaspoons vanilla

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375F. In large bowl, beat brown sugar, granulated sugar, butter and shortening with electric mixer on medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and egg until well blended. On low speed, beat in flour, baking soda and salt until well blended. Stir in semisweet chocolate, white chocolate and pecans.
  2. On ungreased cookie sheets, drop dough by tablespoonfuls 2 inches apart.
  3. Bake 9 to 12 minutes or until light golden brown. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheets to cooling racks.
