  • cup butter softened
  • tsp cream of tartar 
  •  eggs 
  • 2.5 cups flour 
  • tsp ground cinnamon 
  • cup planters pecans finely chopped
  • 0.5 tsp salt 
  • 1.8 cups sugar divided

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 375F.
  2. Mix first 5 ingredients in large bowl. Beat butter and 1-1/2 cups sugar in large bowl with mixer until light and fluffy. Blend in eggs. Gradually beat in flour mixture until well blended. Shape into 1-inch balls.
  3. Mix remaining sugar and cinnamon.
  4. Roll balls in cinnamon sugar.
  5. Place, 2 inches apart, on baking sheets.
  6. Bake 10 to 12 min. or until lightly browned. Cool on baking sheets 1 min.
  7. Remove to wire racks; cool completely.
