  • teaspoon baking soda 
  • 0.8 cup bittersweet chocolate chopped
  • 0.3 cup brown sugar packed
  • 1.5 cups extra chocolate chips dark
  • 0.5 cup cocoa 
  •  eggs 
  • 1.3 cups flour 
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 cup sugar 
  • 0.5 cup butter unsalted softened (I used )
  • teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions

  1. Melt chocolate in a double-boiler over barely simmering water. Stir in the coffee.
  2. Combineflour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a bowl. In a separate bowl, cream butter and sugarstogether until light and fluffy.
  3. Add the melted chocolate to the butter mixture and stir well.
  4. Addvanilla and egg to the chocolate mixture. Stir in the dry ingredients. Fold in chocolate chips.Divide dough into 36 balls and place on a cookie sheet, but don’t flatten.
  5. Bake at 325 F forabout eight minutes.
  6. Let cookies cool on the baking sheet for five minutes.
  7. Transfer to acooling rack.Makes 36 Cookies
