Ingredients

  • 17.5 oz sugar cookie mix 
  • tablespoons flour all-purpose
  • 0.5 cup butter softened
  •  eggs 
  • 0.5 teaspoon almond extract 
  • 0.3 cup granulated sugar 
  • 16 oz vanilla frosting 
  • tablespoons sprinkles

Directions

  1. Heat oven to 350°F. In medium bowl, stir cookie mix and flour until well blended.
  2. Add butter, egg and almond extract; stir until soft dough forms.
  3. Roll dough into 84 (1/2-inch) balls.
  4. Roll each ball in sugar.
  5. Place balls 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet.
  6. Bake 7 to 9 minutes or until set. Cool 1 minute; remove from cookie sheet to cooling rack. Cool completely, about 15 minutes.
  7. For each sandwich cookie, spread 1 teaspoon frosting on bottom of 1 cooled cookie. Top with second cookie, bottom side down; gently press cookies together.
  8. Roll sides of sandwich cookie in sprinkles.
