  • 12 oz ale white
  •  bell pepper diced seeded
  • tablespoon butter 
  • 32 oz navy beans drained canned
  • cups chicken broth 
  • teaspoons chipotle chili powder 
  •  garlic clove minced
  • teaspoons ground cumin 
  • teaspoons kosher salt 
  • 30 servings cilantro leaves fresh
  • tablespoons olive oil 
  •  jalapeno diced green red seeded
  • medium size onion diced red
  • cups roasted chicken shredded
  • large sweet potatoes and into peeled chopped
  • large onion diced white

Directions

  1. Melt butter with oil in a Dutch oven over medium heat.
  2. Add white onion and next 7 ingredients, and saut 8 minutes or until translucent.
  3. Add garlic, and cook 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in beans and beer, and cook 5 minutes or until liquid is reduced by half.
  5. Add chicken and broth; bring to a boil over high heat. Reduce heat to medium-low, and simmer 30 minutes until thickened.
  6. Serve with desired toppings.
  7. Note: We tested with Blue Moon Belgian White Wheat Ale.
