Ingredients

  • cups broccoli florets (from 1 medium head broccoli)
  • ounces finely-chopped ham cooked chopped
  • 0.8 cup cup heavy whipping cream warmed
  • small onion finely chopped
  • 0.5 cup parmesan grated
  • pound shells 
  • servings salt and pepper 
  • tablespoons butter unsalted

Directions

  1. Bring a large pot of salted water to boil.
  2. Add pasta and cook until al dente, 8 to 10 minutes.
  3. Add broccoli for last 2 to 3 minutes of cooking time.
  4. Drain and return to pot.
  5. While pasta is cooking, melt butter over medium heat in a large skillet.
  6. Add onion and saut until softened, about 3 minutes.
