  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper black
  • cup carrots chopped
  • tablespoons sherry dry
  • 32 ounce fat-skimmed beef broth fat-free canned
  • 0.3 cup flour all-purpose
  •  garlic clove minced
  • cup spring onion chopped
  • 2.8 cups milk 2% reduced-fat
  • cup onion chopped
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • teaspoons stick margarine 
  • 0.5 pound turkey breast smoked chopped
  • cup rice wild uncooked
  • teaspoon rosemary dried fresh chopped

Directions

  1. Melt the butter in a Dutch oven over medium-high heat.
  2. Add carrot and next 5 ingredients (carrot through garlic). Saut 8 minutes or until browned. Stir in broth, scraping pan to loosen browned bits. Stir in turkey and rice; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat, and simmer 1 hour and 15 minutes or until rice is tender.
  3. Lightly spoon flour into a dry measuring cup; level with a knife.
  4. Combine flour and milk in a small bowl, stirring with a whisk.
  5. Add to pan. Cook over medium heat until thick (about 8 minutes), stirring frequently. Stir in sherry and salt.
