Ingredients

  • oz pappardelle uncooked
  • tablespoons butter 
  • medium onion sweet separated thinly sliced
  • 16 oz mushrooms wild
  • teaspoons sage fresh chopped
  • teaspoon thyme sprigs fresh chopped
  • cup whipping cream 
  • 0.5 cup parmesan cheese grated
  • 0.5 teaspoon salt 
  • 0.3 teaspoon pepper freshly ground
  • leaves thyme leaves fresh

Directions

  1. Cook and drain pasta as directed on package; cover to keep warm.
  2. Meanwhile, in 12-inch nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium-high heat. Cook onion in butter 8 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally, until soft and golden.
  3. Add mushrooms, chopped sage and thyme; cook until mushrooms are tender, about 5 minutes. Stir in whipping cream, cheese, salt and pepper.
  4. Pour sauce over cooked pasta; toss gently to coat.
